Project DescriptionKuchel Road acts a s a link between Murray Bridge and Mypolonga and services small settlements such as Toora. Kuchel Road also provids access to significant infrastructure sites including the Trility Water Treatment Plant and the SA Water Pump Station that feeds the Murray Bridge to Adelaide supply main.
The pavement on Kuchel Road has reached the end of its useful life. It have become very rough through the continual repair of potholes. Pavement widths are narrow (less than 6m) and significant edge drops and breakout are evident due to poor roadside drainage.
Kuchel Road also acts as a bus route.
Full pavement reconstruction of 1025m of Kuchel Road with a formation width of 8.0m and seal width of 7.0m to complete the link between Murray Bridge and Mypolonga
Reconstruction of existing culvert/floodway (Ch865) to increase capacity and reduce times water floods across road.
Improved linemarking and signage. |
