Project DescriptionThis is a heavily trafficked industrial road and the current surface is breaking up. The road was excavated several years ago for a major sewer upgrade and the pavement in the vicinity of the trench is severely cracked. The cracked is allowing water into the road pavement (which is generally quite solid and sound apart from adjacent to the sewer trench).
It is proposed to plane out the existing surface, repair and improve the pavement strength in the vicinity of the sewer trench and then apply a new, full width asphalt surface to the entire road. This treatment will be relatively quick, will provide an excellent wearing surface and will waterproof the underlying pavement. The total area to be treated will be 7500 square metres.
Total cost of proposed project is $360,000 |
