Project DescriptionThe existing 5m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of commercial vehicles now using this
section of Gunnawarra Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road
verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users.
The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of detoriation from heavy use by
commercial vehicles.
The proposed works include the widening of the existing 5m wide bitumen road to 7m to allow the
safe passing of commercial vehicles and the reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's
load bearing capacity.
Total cost of proposed project is $394,285 |
