Project Description

The existing bitumen seal is approximately 10 years old and is starting to break up, causing pavement potholes, shoving of the outer wheel paths and edge break. In several locations the stone has stripped off indicating that the binder (bitumen) is losing its adhesiveness.

Correct any surface defects, potholes/shoves, maintenance grade the shoulders, import gravel to reshape shoulders where necessary, then bitumen seal to a width of 6m using 14mm aggregate.
