Project DescriptionThe existing gravel surface is deteriorating rapidly due to increase in heavy vehicle traffic as this is a road train and B-Double route
This has resulted in the road being unsafe for the general public at times
The original road will be reconstructed to a 11 metre formation with additional road building material imported in for the base course ready for the 8 metre 2 coat seal of 14mm and 7mm aggregate. The road has been surveyed and designed to specifications to improve sight distance and gradients for all road users
Bitumising will reduce the impact of dust to road users and the environment
Total cost of proposed project is $1,940,390 |
