Project DescriptionExisting road pavement has a number of defects including cracking, potholes, patches, depressions and flushing. Kerb & gutter on one side only and broken in a number of places. Stormwater is running off and causing damage to adjoining properties. No footpath on either side of road and no provision for cyclists. Existing lighting does not meet current standards.
Reconstruction and widening of road with new deep strength asphalt. New kerb & gutter south of the watercourse on both sides of road and associated underground stormwater drains. Upgrade culverts to 1050mm reinforced concrete pipes and earth mound to accommodate 100 year floor recurrence. New shared footpath on western side between the watercourse and St Kilda Street and pedestrian refuge adjacent to watercourse. Upgrade of public lighting and installation of guard rail to protect infrastructure at Waterport Rd T-Junction.
