Project DescriptionUnsealed road gravel pavement is worn down, becoming rutted and slippery or boggy when wet. Previous gravel resheets don't last long until mixed into the underlying silts and clays during wet weather by heavy vehicles, resulting in short resheet cycles.
Reform the road profile to shed water and clean out surface drainage. Gravel resheet by placing a new layer of gravel along the worst affected segments between chainages 24.5 to 27.19km and 32.27 to 38.22km, and patch gravel the balance including previously gravelled segments where damaged. Add a stabilising agent. |
