Project DescriptionThe open box channel (approximately 150mm deep and 400mm wide) and associated road grading on Laura Street poses significant hazards to the public. The hazards include:
1.Damage to cars from unwittingly entering the channel.
2.Trip/fall hazard for pedestrians. LCC Project 23443
3.The road slopes very steeply down into the channel which also creates a slip/fall hazard.
The open box channel drainage is not to current LGAT standard and the works specified are required to address this.
Remove existing box channel drainage and steep crossfalls and construct new kerb and channel to comply with LGAT standards.
Total cost of proposed project is $435,791 |
