Project DescriptionThis collector road carries approximately 57 vehicles per day and an alternative route from Dalveen to Warwick during instances of accidents along the New England Highway. The road is narrow (3.8 metre width), winding and has crests along this section of the road. There is potential for accidents. Also the road width is not enough for two vehicles to pass each other as the gravel shoulders rutted (smaller dips) within this chainages. Widening this section of the road will improve safety and reduce travel time.
• Road widening works to accommodate two lanes. This will improve driver safety and reduce travel time. |
