Project DescriptionExisting road creating dust hazard and there is reduced access to emergency health services. During wet weather the pavement creates a restriction for residents trying to access east or west at this location. Also allowing this road to facilitate an all weather emergency landing facility for the Flying Doctor given the remoteness of this location.
Construction of a 15m wide by 1.4km sealed surface on the existing road centre line to serve as an emergency rural airstrip to be used by the Royal Flying Doctor Service. |
