Project DescriptionThe existing road pavement exhibits areas of significant longitudinal and transverse cracking, isolated areas of failed pavement and patching. There is moderate roughness and loss of shape. In addition significant lengths of concrete kerbing are in a poor condition.
The project includes the following major aspects:
• Rehabilitation of 455 metres of existing road pavement and resurfacing with asphalt
• Reconstruction of 826 metres of existing kerb and channel
• Construction of traffic islands at the intersection of North Street/Forrest Street and Tower Street/Forrest Street
• Reconstruction of existing vehicle crossings where required
• Reconstruction of all damaged footpath
• Construction of 205 metres of underground drainage works
