The road is very loose and corrugated with at least 50 % of the road area showing exposed subgrade. There are washouts, scouring due to poor and lack of drainage. This project aims to improve accessibility and safety.
Prepare existing surface by grading, heavy watering and compaction to produce 7.0m wide subgrade with 4% crossfall. Construct new gravel layer of 150mm and compacted according to standard specification to protect the formation and provide a wearing course for traffic.Two way Crossfall of 4% is required to drain the pavement. Reinstate offlet Drains and Blocks. Construct additional offlet drains and blocks.
