Project DescriptionMcDougall Street is a bus route. The road pavement has extensive cracking that is enabling water to penetrate the base resulting in extensive deformation and patching to maintain the road. Pavement is uneven with regular transverse depressions resulting in an uncomfortable ride for bus patrons and irritating noise and vibration for adjacent residential property. Kerbing is irregular in shape and alignment and in need of replacement.
Identify and remove areas of excessive pavement failure and replace with new material, lightly profile the road surface to reduce the depth of depressions, supply and lay asphalt corrector course, install new kerbing as required and complete project with an overlay of stone mastic asphalt wearing course. |
