Project DescriptionMulga Park Road connects the Stuart Highway with Lasseter Highway via several cattle station and pastoral properties. It is a significant transport road providing access to four large cattle stations and is a link roads to several indigenous communities. The road is also well used by mining exploration crews, and provides a 4WD experience for tourism.
The road is currently experiencing very dry conditions, with very high road train usage for cattle and general freight transport. This heavy vehicle traffic has caused numerous sections of road to deteriorate into deep sand and bull-dust.
Reform and gravel resheet various sections between chainage 200 to 234 kilometres. |
