Subsurface instability has caused mass pavement failure over a 300m section. Such failures include surface cracking, potholing, shoving, edge cracking, depressions and raveling.
The seal for this 300m section will be entirely removed. The subsurface will be ripped and blended with high quality road base. The road base will then be sufficiently compacted and allowed to sit for two weeks prior to seal to determine any further subsurface deficiencies.
Upon rectification of any further issues, a two-coat 20/10 seal will be laid 10m wide and line marked accordingly.
Table drains will be reformed and stormwater culverts and pipes will be cleared to rectify drainage issues.
