Rotting and splitting of crossheads. Heavy splitting of some piles. Fine cracking to legs and soffit of deck slabs, appears to be flexural cracking. Approach guard fence is too short. guard fence at West approach has failed due to impact by vehicles and crushing from rock fall. Impact damage to barrier rail at North West corner of bridge. Loss of fill at eastern abutment due to erosion. Settlement of eastern approach.
Carry out Level 3 inspection to determine cause of cracking. Carry out risk assessment to determine if compliant guard fence is required. Install new guard fence. Replace damaged rail. Reinstate lost fill and install erosion protection. Raise bridge approach.
Total cost of proposed project is $148,394
