Project Description

The project will upgrade the Maroochydore Road and Mons Road Interchanges, including planning works for the section of the Bruce Highway between the Sunshine Motorway and the Maroochydore Road Interchange.


When complete, the project will address a number of capacity, traffic congestion and safety issues along this stretch of the Bruce Highway.


The Australian Government has committed up to $149.6 million towards the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.


Construction is expected to commence in late 2019 and be completed late 2021.
