Project Description

Secondary Through road formed from natural sandy loam material with pockets of imported gravel. In wet conditions the road is very slippery with deep ruts across the pavement and must be driven with care. In dry weather the pavement tends to form deep potholes with severe rutting and pavement blow-outs.

Reshape road and gravel sheet – Win and cart gravel – Repair any section of pavement that has blow-outs, Spread gravel at 6m wide X 130mm thick, compact to 100mm. Re-establish table and mitre drains, upgrade floodway’s and install erosion control measures where necessary.
