The project will upgrade several intersections crossing the Bass Highway near Wynyard to mitigate the risk of serious crashes at high-risk junctions in the area.
The project will improve safety, increase access and reduce travel times for road users.
The estimated cost of the project is $2,875,000. The Australian Government is contributing up to $2,300,000 and the Tasmanian Government is contributing up to $575,000.
Construction has commenced in February 2018 and is expected to be completed in early 2019.
