The project will construct a new road through the Legana town centre from Freshwater Point Road and Brigalow Street to Fulton Street.
The benefits of this project will be improved safety and improved access for road users.
The estimated cost of the project is $4.53 million. The Australian Government is contributing $2.8 million and the West Tamar Council $1.73 million.
Construction commenced in March 2018 and is expected to be completed in late 2019.
