The project will upgrade targeted sections of the Kiewa Valley Highway between Wodonga to Mount Beauty in north-east Victoria. Works will include lane widening, shoulder sealing and intersection upgrades.
The project is expected to improve safety and efficiency for all road users and support the economic growth in the Alpine region.
The estimated cost of the project is $8 million. The Australian and Victorian governments are each contributing $4 million.
Construction commenced in mid 2018 and is expected to be completed in early 2019.
