Project Description

The project will duplicate the existing single lane roundabouts at New Dookie Road and Old Dookie Road on the Shepparton Alternate Freight Route north of Melbourne.  Works will also include upgrading feeder roads to and from the roundabouts, road alignment changes such as relocation and removal of table drains, installaton of safety barriers, and provision of additional pavement areas.


The project is expected to improve safety and efficiency for all road users.


The estimated cost of the project is $20 million. The Australian and Victorian governments are each contibuting $10 million.


The Victorian Government is currently developing the project timetable.
