The bitumen seal is now showing signs of deterioration and requires regular maintenance.to repair pot holes, edge breaks and rutting. These defects create hazards to motorists and a full re-seal will enable Council to achieve maximum life expectancy from the constructed pavement. The project will provide a safe, smooth road surface free of defects.
A full re-seal is being proposed using 10mm aggregate. Works will also include road shoulder alignment and line marking.
The length of road being re-sealed is 830metres with an average width of 6.8metres.
