Project Description

The Warrnambool Rail Line Upgrade involves the construction of a crossing loop, signalling and level crossing upgrades, and upgrades to Waurn Ponds Station.


The project will improve passenger rail services on the Warrnambool Rail Line.


The estimated cost of the project is $284.7 million. The Australian Government is contributing $255.9 million.


The project commenced construction in early 2020 and is expected to be completed in late 2022.
