This project involves the potential duplication and upgrade of the Linkfield Road Overpass to improve safety and capacity at the Linkfield Road/Gympie Arterial interchange.
This project will improve safety, and reduce congestion and travel times.
The Australian Government has committed up to $100 million towards the project, which is funded on an 80:20 basis, with the Queensland Government committing $25 million.
While planning is currently under way that will inform the project's delivery schedule it is expected that construction will commence in mid 2023 and be completed in mid 2025, weather permitting.
