Project DescriptionThe project will upgrade the interchange at Strathpine Road and Gympie Arterial Road in Bald Hills, approximately 16 kilometres north of Brisbane. The proposed design uses a diverging diamond interchange that will cross traffic into contra-flow conditions to create free flow turns on all movements. BenefitsThe project is expected to improve safety, reduce travel times and increase network connectivity for all road users. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $15 million towards the project. TimetableConstruction is expected to commence in mid 2021, with completion expected in late 2023. |
