Currently there is a 23 kilometre gap between the Warnbro and Mandurah Stations on the Mandurah Rail Line. The growth in population within this corridor has placed pressure on existing station infrastructure. In addition, transport users travel a large distance to access these rail stations or rely on their cars for commuting.
This project will allow transport users within the corridor to better access rail services and improve transport connectivity within the Perth Metropolitan area.
The project will:
- improve accessibility and connectivity
- improve travel time
The Australian Government has committed $35 million towards the project.
The project is in planning.
