Project Description

The project is expected to construct a multi-deck car park to increase the capacity of commuter car parking facilities at Ringwood Railway Station.

Currently, parking demand exceeds parking availability at peak times. The railway station is considered a premium interchange, with high patronage accessing the express rail services during peak periods.

This project is expected to improve efficiency and network reliability, reduce traffic congestion, improve travel times and support a more integrated and effective transport system by upgrading park and ride facilities at this location.

The Australian Government is contributing $29.7 million to the project.

This project is expected to commence construction in mid-2023 and be completed by late 2024.
