Project Description

The project is expected to construct a multi-deck car park to increase the capacity of commuter car parking facilities at Ringwood Railway Station.

Currently, parking demand exceeds parking availability at peak times. The railway station is considered a premium interchange, with high patronage accessing the express rail services during peak periods.

This project will support public transport usage and efficiency by improving park and ride facilities at this location.

Additional funding for this project will support the accelerated construction of a multi-deck car park at Ringwood Railway Station, in line with the project scope.

  • Improved efficiency and network reliability
  • Reduced traffic congestion and improved travel times
  • Supporting a more integrated and effective transport system

The Australian Government is fully funding this $29.7 million project. This includes an additional $14.7 million announced in the 2021-22 Budget.

This project is expected to start construction in mid-2022 and be completed by mid-2023.
