Project DescriptionThis project will upgrade the Fitzsimons Lane and Main Road corridor in Eltham. BenefitsThe Fitzsimons Lane/Main Road corridor feeds into the Eastern Freeway. With no alternative north-south corridor through Eltham, sections of Fitzsimons Lane and Main Road are severely congested.
This upgrade will complement existing investments in other parts of the road network. It is expected to reduce congestion, and improve access, travel times and road safety. FundingThe Australian Government contribution is capped at $10 million. TimetableThe delivery schedule will be determined as planning on the project progresses and in consultation with the proponent. |
