Project DescriptionThis project is expected to upgrade the intersection of Plymouth Road and Kirtain Drive in Croydon. BenefitsPlymouth Road is an arterial road which experiences high traffic volumes due to the number of schools and commercial premises in the area, with significant congestion at its intersection with Kirtain Drive. This is an important road corridor that connects Warrandyte and Croydon with no practical alternative route available.
This upgrade is expected to reduce congestion, improve road connectivity between current and future residential, business and employment precincts, and improve safety for all road users. FundingThe Australian Government contribution is capped at $2.5 million. TimetableThe delivery schedule will be determined as planning on the project progresses and in consultation with the proponent. |
