Project DescriptionThis project will upgrade four intersections along the Princes Highway between Pakenham and Beaconsfield including O’Neil Road, Bayview Road, Tivendale Road and Glismann Road. BenefitsThe Princes Highway between Pakenham and Beaconsfield is a highly trafficked corridor serving a high population growth area and experiences congestion and safety issues.
These intersection upgrades are expected to reduce congestion and travel times and improve travel time reliability along this corridor. They will also improve network connectivity, access and safety for all road users. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $21.55 million towards this project. TimetableConstruction commenced on the project in September 2020 and is expected to be completed early 2023.
Glismann Road/Beaconsfield Avenue intersection was completed in July 2021.
O'Neil Road in Beaconsfield was completed in August 2021. |
