This project will upgrade eight intersections along the Princes Highway between Pakenham and Beaconsfield including Beaconsfield Avenue, O’Neil Road, Brunt Road, Bayview Road, Tivendale Road, McMullen Road, Arena Parade and Thewlis Road.
The Princes Highway between Pakenham and Beaconsfield is a highly trafficked corridor serving a high population growth area and experiences congestion and safety issues.
These intersection upgrades are expected to reduce congestion and travel times and improve travel time reliability along this corridor. They will also improve network connectivity, access and safety for all road users.
The Australian Government contribution is capped at $17.8 million.
Construction commenced on the project in September 2020 and is expected to be completed in late 2021.
