Project DescriptionTo accommodate future population growth and ensure efficiency of the transport system, upgrading and adding new transport infrastructure will be required. This commitment will identify future road and rail links to support the development of Perth. BenefitsThe studies will investigate potential projects that will:
- improve journey times and service reliability
- support future traffic demand
- ensure forecast population-driven increases in travel demand are met
FundingThe Australian Government has committed $14.5 million towards Future Road and Rail Connections for Perth. TimetableThe scope of individual studies is to be determined in consultation with the Western Australian Government. |
