Project DescriptionThis project will upgrade prioirity sections of the Warrego Highway between Toowoomba and Ipswich, which is the final connecting link between the Toowoomba to Seymour and Townsville to Roma corridors into Brisbane. BenefitsThe project is expected to:
- ease congestion pressures from the concentration of traffic on the corridor and local roads connected to the corridor
- improve freight efficiency, connectivity and travel times
- improve commuter safety on the corridor and merging traffic from local roads
FundingThe Australian Government is contributing $60 million towards the project. TimetableThe delivery schedule will be determined in consultation with the Queensland Government. |
