Currently, there are limited supply of parking spaces at the Mandurah Station, south of Perth. Consequently commuters park on adjacent streets surrounding the station creating an overflow of cars and congestion for local residents.
The project will construct additional parking facilities at Mandurah Station to increase parking capacity and encourage greater use of public transport.
The project will:
- provide a more integrated and effective transport system, through the provision of additional parking at stations
- improve amenities for the local communities
The Australian Government has committed $16 million towards the project.
The project is in planning.
