Project Description

The Karratha to Tom Price corridor is a key economic freight route that supports the mining industry.

This project will deliver targeted upgrades to the Karratha to Tom Price Corridor.


Upgrades to this corridor will provide the following benefits:

  • better connect regional communities
  • provide a more reliable and safe road network
  • improve access for higher capacity vehicles
  • facilitate other economic opportunities


The Australian Government has committed $248 million towards the project.


The project is underway and is expected to be completed in mid 2023.
