Project Description

Initial safety works at Lindum Level Crossing in Wynnum West including median island upgrades, new pavement and line markings, and installation of a longer boom gate commenced in October 2021 and was completed in December 2021.

 

The delivery schedule for further longer-term upgrades at the level crossing will be determined in consultation with the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.

 

Benefits

It is expected that this project will deliver:

  • improve motorist, pedestrian and cyclist safety
  • improve road safety and reduce congestion
  • improve travel times

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $85 million towards the project.
