Project DescriptionThis project involves the extension of Thompsons Road from Clyde Road to Cardinia Road in Officer South. BenefitsThe rapid population growth in the Casey Cardinia corridor in Melbourne’s south-east is leading to increased congestion on the local transport network. It is also affecting community access to employment precincts.
This project will increase capacity on the transport network and provide improved access to employment precincts. It will also improve network resilience in the south-east by reducing reliance on the Monash Freeway. FundingThe Australian Government will contribute up to $70 million towards this project. TimetableThe delivery schedule will be determined as planning on the project progresses and in consultation with the Victorian Government. |
