Project DescriptionThis project involves the duplication of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway to Boneo Road in Rosebud, including associated intersection upgrades. BenefitsThe Mornington Peninsula Highway carries around 10,000 vehicles per day, supporting both commuters and the estimated 1.6 million domestic tourists who visit the Mornington Peninsula each Summer. From Jetty Road to Boneo Road, the highway is not currently duplicated.
This project is expected to reduce congestion and improve network connectivity and accessibility, improve travel times and reliability, and improve safety for all road users. FundingThe Australian Government will contribute up to $75 million towards this project. TimetableThe delivery schedule will be determined as planning on the project progresses and in consultation with the Victorian Government. |
