Project Description

This project will upgrade targeted sections of Torbanlea Pialba Road between Torbanlea and Hervey Bay.

Benefits

The project will:

  • connect agricultural production regions to domestic and international markets
  • improve linkages for road-based tourism
  • improve connectivity between people with jobs and services

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $24 million to this project.

Timetable

Construction is expected to commence in early 2022, with completion expected in late 2023.
