Project Description

This project is expected to widen Canterbury Road from two lanes to three lanes in each direction from Dorset Road to Liverpool Road. The scope of works also includes installing pedestrian operated signals and constructing a shared user path on the south side of Canterbury Road, east of Liverpool Road.


The project is expected to reduce congestion and travel time, and improve safety and efficiency for all road users.


The Australian Government is contributing $47.59 million to the project. 


The project is expected to commence construction in mid-2023 and be completed by early 2025.
