Project DescriptionGnangara Road is a major arterial road, providing connection for commercial vehicles and residents to the Great Northern Highway and Wanneroo Road. Gnangara Road is an important link between Ellenbrook and Joondalup and is experiencing increased congestion due to the rapidly growing population in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs.
This project will upgrade Gnangara Road between Henley Brook Avenue and Egerton Drive, including intersection upgrades at Henley Brook Avenue, Robert Street and Egerton Drive. BenefitsThe project will:
- Improve travel times and improve safety for all road users
- Increase transport infrastructure capacity
FundingThe Australian Government has committed $1.6 million towards the project. TimetableThe project is currently underway and due for completion by late 2022. |
