Project Description

This project will undertake a feasibility study to examine options for the removal of the level crossing of the Glen Waverley Line at Madden Grove in Burnley.


This project is expected to deliver the following benefits:

  • Improved efficiency of the wider metropolitan transport network.
  • Reduced local congestion and delays.
  • Improved community connectivity and access to services.
  • Improved safety for all road and rail users.


This project will be fully funded by the Australian Government through the Urban Congestion Fund.


Completion of the feasibility study will be determined in consultation with the proponent.
