This project will upgrade the intersection at Oxley Drive, Brisbane Road (Gold Coast Highway) and Olsen Avenue, Arundel to improve safety and reduce congestion. The project will deliver additional right turn lanes on Brisbane Road, additional right turn storage length on all legs of the intersection and improvements to the left turn lanes on Brisbane Road.
The project is expected to:
- Improve safety
- Improve operation functionality
- Improve travel time reliablity
- Improve network functionality
The Australian Government has committed $5 million to this project.
Construction on this project commenced in September 2020, with completion expected in early 2021.
