This project will remove the level crossing at Boundary Road in Coopers Plains. The Boundary Road Level Crossing experiences significant congestion and accidents in the peak morning and afternoon periods. Boundary Road is part of a corridor connecting Archerfield Airport with the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Gateway Motorway.
The level crossing removal is expected to increase pedestrian and commuter safety, help to reduce congestion, and improve traffic flow on Boundary Road at Coopers Plains.
The Australian Government has committed $73 million towards the project.
The delivery schedule will be determined in consultation with the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
