This project will upgrade the intersection at Rochedale Road and Priestdale Road in Rochedale. The intersection experiences significant congestion during peak morning and afternoon school hour periods. The intersection connects residents to several schools and, at present, does not provide pedestrian crossings or other features for vulnerable intersection users like school children. The project will provide pedestrian crossing facilities to improve pedestrian and motorist safety and traffic congestion.
It is expected this project will deliver improved accessibility, connectivity and productivity, and improved safety and travel times.
The Australian Government has committed $14 million towards this project.
The delivery schedule for this project will be determined in consultation with Brisbane City Council.
