Project Description

This project will demolish the existing bridge on Mundubbera-Durong Road (John Peterson Bridge) over the Boyne River and replace it with a new concrete bridge with improved flood immunity and alignment.

Benefits

Upgrades to the John Petersen Bridge will improve safety and freight efficiency along Mundubbera Durong Road.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $20 million to this project.

Timetable

Major construction on this project is expected to commence in early-2022 and be competed in late 2023.
