Project DescriptionThis project will demolish the existing bridge on Mundubbera-Durong Road (John Peterson Bridge) over the Boyne River and replace it with a new concrete bridge with improved flood immunity and alignment. BenefitsUpgrades to the John Petersen Bridge will improve safety and freight efficiency along Mundubbera Durong Road. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $20 million to this project. TimetableMajor construction on this project is expected to commence in early-2022 and be competed in late 2023. |
