Project DescriptionUpgrades to the Tasman Highway Sideling Track in the northern electorate of Bass are yet to be determined. BenefitsUpgrades are expected to improve freight productivity and reduce freight costs for the north-east agricultural sector. FundingThe estimated cost of the project is $50 million. The Australian Government is contributing $40 million and the Tasmanian Government $10 million. TimetableConstruction is expected to commence in mid 2022 with construction expected to be completed by late 2023.
