Project Description

This project will deliver a new bridge crossing the Hawkesbury River between Richmond and North Richmond, bypasses of both town centres, and road upgrades.

Benefits

The project will:

  • improve accessibility, connectivity and travel times
  • increase road capacity
  • improve road safety
  • increase flood immunity

Funding

The Australian Government has committed up to $400 million towards the project.

Timetable

Planning is underway with construction expected to commence in late 2022 and is expected to be completed in late 2026.
