Project Description

The proposed upgrade of King Georges Road includes:

  • stage 1 - Widening King Georges Road between Stoney Creek Road and Forest Road from four to six lanes (three lanes in each direction) with a central median

  • stage 2 - Planning for widening works between Forest Road and Connells Point Road


The benefits are: 

  • road widening and capacity improvements to reduce congestion

  • improved road safety

  • reduced travel times


The Australian Government funding contribution is capped at $50 million.
