Project Description

Upgrade roads infrastructure on and around the Alice Springs to Darwin corridor.


This project will improve:

  • connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets
  • road safety
  • freight efficiency, connectivity and travel time
  • economic productivity
  • flood immunity on a key route in the region


The Australian Government has committed $132.7 million to the Alice Springs to Darwin Corridor Upgrade.


Projects on the corridor commenced construction in early 2019.
